Photos: Updated 01.22.08.

We've broken the picture files by event so hopefully we'll be able to keep the previous files up there instead of replacing them as we update. (That was unintentional of course.) Thank you again to everyone who has contributed pictures, they look great. If you have more photos, please get them to us and they will be put up in a more timely fashion since the bugs are worked out now. Thanks for working with us. Also, if you notice that we are missing pictures that were up earlier, please let us know, there may have been some files lost in the trasfer and we'd like to recover those. Again, Thank you and enjoy!

Also, if you want to print any of the pictures, please feel free. Enjoy!

Jamboree: January 21st
What a day! We survived the cold temps and a long day of racing and ended up with some great individual results and a relay team championship. Congrats to Tony N. (9th), Ashley K. (7th), Jacob S. (6th) and Eric V. (4th) in the Sprints portion. Brian F. and Emma B. both placed 6th in the 10 km Continuous Pursuit. And the Boys Relay team gave us an incredibly exciting race. They started in a strong third place position, moved up to second about 300 m out of first. In the final leg with about 0.8 km to go, Eric V. made a decisive pass of Andover and continued pulling ahead to cruise the team to victory. Congrats to Jacob S., Tony N., Morgan W., and Eric V. for some fine racing. We'll get the results up soon but for now, enjoy the pictures!

Winter Trip: December 27th - 30th
Training and fun in Northern Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan. We left in the wee-early hours on the 27th and traveled the several hours north to the trails if ABR in Ironwood, Michigan. (Do you know what ABR stands for?) We skied for several hours and then headed to our "home" for the next few days, Camp Jorn YMCA Camp. We continued skiing many hours over the next few days and finished our trip with a time trial against Maple Grove. There was also some fun, of course so check out the pictures!

You-Name-It Race: December 22nd
The first annual Citizen and Alumni race put on by the Elk River Nordic Ski Team. What an exciting day it was! It rained in the cities but here in beautiful Elk River, we had a fresh cover of snow that saved the race. We had almost 100 racers and it was a beautiful sight with the fresh snow and skiers everywhere. We look forward to seeing you again next year and bring a friend!

Sprint Championships: December 19th
Held at Elm Creek Park, our skiers raced through a 1.0 km course trying to make it to the championship round. We had many of our skiers make it through the first round which was exciting and as the rounds became more competitive Eric Volk and Jacob Stevens emerged as the 2 Elks in the Finals. Eric finished 3rd for the day and Jacob was 5th. Awesome job team!

5 km Classic: December 13th
Half-Way through December already! Great racing today on the full course. First year skiers had the option of doing a shortend, 2.5 km, course. Cold weather, good kick, what could be better?

Age Group Race: December 6th
5km race split up by grades. The first race held this season, on REAL SNOW! We had some great results and it was an exciting day!

Ride 'N Tie: December 1st
Well, snow was predicted and snow came. It was quite the winter wonderland during the race and the bike portion was a little difficult because of it but we had fun in spite of it. Some great frosty pictures at the end. Great job to Eric Volk and Chris Anderson for taking home the trophy for first place team!
