Jacob Nardini – Rogers Alumni, Class of 2015
Late this summer one of our former skiers, Jacob Nardini, was diagnosed with Leukemia. Jacob is undergoing treatment, and will be in and out of the hospital over the next year or more.
We would love to drop off another care package to him and it would be great to be able to include some notes and things from the team. If you are able, we’d love to have you write some notes/cards for him that we can put together and drop off for you. Think about how you feel when you get a card in the mail, what a fun surprise – we’d love to flood Jake with a bunch of them along with some goodies for him and his family from his nordic family.
If you want to/are able to write a note of support, make a card, find some pictures of him/the team, anything that you think will boost him up and add some joy and fun to his day – them off to Coach Litchy or Coach Anderson at school and we’ll get them put together and dropped off for him. Jake was a great member of our team and is part of our ski family and we want to support him any way possible.
Jake’s family has been updating his caring bridge site so you can see Jake’s updated progress. He is fighting well, but it will be a long battle. The family/friends have also set up a gofundme site to help cover the mounting costs that have come on from transportation, to work time they’ve missed, to some medical expenses they’ve had to take on. If you are interested in contributing to that, the link is below.
We wish you the best Jake. Stay Strong!Gofundme.com/JakeNardini
