Dryland Training Meet Kikkan Randall
Oct 152014

Congrats go out to our own Cheresa Bouley on running to her first Conference Championship Title!  As an 8th grader, she secured the Granite Ridge Conference win with a time of 15:41.38.  She is looking great and is poised to run very well in the next few weeks also!  We look forward to having her back on the nordic team in less than a month!

We also want to extend good luck and well wishes to all of our fall sports as they head into the championship portion of their seasons.  It has been a great fall seeing you all compete at such high levels.  We are looking forward to seeing you out on rollerskis and real skis soon though!

The first day of Nordic Practice will be on November 10th so be ready.  The parent meeting is on Monday, November 3rd at 6:00pm.  If you didn’t do a fall sport, you really need to make sure that you are out running/rolling/core-ing (yes, that might be a word) and just getting ready for the season.  If you are in a fall sport, finish strong, make every practice count, and then make sure you take a bit of time off before skiing starts.  Talk to Coach Litchy about what you need to do to prepare.  If you are training right up until skiing starts, you will still need a break before starting nordic training but you need to talk to Coach Litchy to arrange your schedule.

On that note, we are thrilled to announce that Coach Litchy will be the Nordic Skiing Head Coach for ERZ Nordic.  She is going to be a great fit with the program and will be challenging you all to reach for your best, as individuals and as a team.  Wishing for lots of snow and “reasonably cold” temps!  See you on the trails!!
