Fall sports are fully underway, school has started, the air is getting crisper, leaves are changing color…Nordic season is just over a month away! It is coming soon!
As you are training in your fall sports, see if you can fit in a roller-ski occasionally, do some strength training, and mentally prepare for skiing. It is going to be an awesome and challenging year. We have some new teams in the conference, there are changes to how the sections championships will qualify teams for the state meet and there are some coaching changes this season. With all that is happening, we have one more event to put on your radar – Matt Liebsch is hosting a roller ski clinic up in Mora this weekend! It is free and open to anyone. The clinic starts at 3:30pm on Sunday at the Vasaloppet Nordic Center in Mora, MN. There is no cost and you don’t need to register, just show up. It would be a great way to start getting more focused on Nordic and an excellent tune-up for dryland training starting soon.
The season starts November 11th! Hope your training is going well, enjoy the great fall weather and we’ll see you out on the trails!
One more item – the Thanksgiving, “Wild Turkey Wattle (or Waddle)” is coming together. Pass the word and send out the link for online registration. The shirts are being designed and they look awesome!
